NSA used Angry Birds and other applications for the collection of personal data

Edward Snowden опубликовал documents according to which the US NSA and the British GCHQ using Angry Birds and other applications (Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps and so on.) to collect personal data. These documents are of such information as age, sex, social status and even sexual orientation. All these data are transmitted through the network while the user works in the applications or files with which they are charged to the service.

Company Rovio has denied any involvement in spying and said it does not know anything about it, and permission to access the geolocation, and other personal information necessary to the game to display targeted advertising.

New York Times recently wrote that two government agencies received information from applications and contacts on the phone since 2007. The newspaper says that the NSA and GCHQ can hardly get out of applications and games usernames, but a simple comparison of the data with other available information could easily lead to the right person.
