Kuker - widespread holiday in Bulgaria. Rooted in paganism.
On the night of 13 to 14 January at the required location Batanovtsi carnival held Cooker. Rituals of this ancient festival are rooted in pagan times and serve to scare away evil and attract good spirits. User Action in suits of leather and straps with heavy bells are on the streets of the town, waving torches. Then the fun continues in the square, where a huge bonfire bred. Dancing, Kuker depict weddings and births, baking bread, plowing, begging the gods to send them a fertile summer.
