Psychologists have found that, strange as it may sound, a high IQ is not the main factor determining the success of a person. Much more important than IQ talent or professional skills such quality as persistence, strength of character, and a willingness to work even when everything against you.
To find out whether you have this priceless quality, a psychologist Angela Duckworth advised to ask yourself some of the following questions: Let's say you are looking for work, sent 10 resumes and have not received any response. Can you find the motivation to continue and continue to send resume until your efforts have not been finally successfully?
You have sent a resume, but not sure it was received. Will you call and send e-mails until you get an answer?
You sit down to write another letter. Do you have the patience to double-check that it is made to meet the requirements of a particular job, even though it is optional, boring and tedious job?
Prepare for the interview? Knowing what questions to ask the employer should you take the time to peruse the information about the company in advance.
After a tiring day of work you really do not want to go to an event where there is a chance to make useful business contacts. But you're still going, because you can not afford to miss any opportunity?
Do not get the promotion? In this situation, people with strong character willing to work twice as hard, rather than give up, or find a new job.
You realize you are missing some skills? Are you willing to spend time on self-education, even if it does not lead to an increase in salary or receive any bonuses?
Do you do something else besides the main activity? Just because it can expand your horizons and allow for a fresh look at familiar things?
You are at the very bottom, and it seems that there is no prospect? Psychologists say that all the brains of the world will not help you in this situation.
Your best weapon - a determination.
