C 19th February to 9th March in the French Menton hosts the annual "Lemon Festival". 2013 for this event marked the date of the circular. For eighty years in a row the French Riviera invites you to her visitors from around the world on this solemn occasion.
The town of Menton is located on the border with Italy. The climate allows year-round to grow lemons, mandarins, oranges and grapefruits. For several weeks, citrus fruits produce amazing castles, sculptures, trees, conduct that are identical procession and celebration.
Almost in front of the audience grow orange locks, lemon fabulous characters. By event residents are prepared throughout the year in preparation for the huge structure, which in the future will turn into edible sculptures.
Guests of the festival offer master classes on making traditional fruit jams from the French masters, admire the giant statues in the gardens of citrus Byove and enjoy a parade of tuples "gold" fruit near the sea.
Each year, the creation of the stunning creations of fruit takes about 130 tons of citrus.
