Record Balloon Festival in Albuquerque

Yesterday, in an American town, that in the state of New Mexico, completed the world's largest hot air balloon festival. Moreover, it was an unusual festival, since not set a world record.

The first festival was held back in 1972, and then the total number of participants was only thirteen balloons. Last world record in the number of participants rose into the air, was established here in 2000, and then this number is equal to 329-ti. And last week the record was set at around 345 participants. Overall, the festival was attended by representatives of 13 countries. There was attended by about 600 pilots on 500 balloons. Traditionally, the festival is held in the first week of October, but this year the organizers have made it longer: the first through October 9th.
