Three peaks of Lavaredo
In Italian this place sounds like Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Perhaps, in the Alps, in particular in the Dolomites, it is difficult to find a more famous place where tourists would have made many photos. Until 1919, three peaks were conventional boundary.
In principle, the three peaks of Lavaredo and are now abroad, but internal. And before the start of the last century they were conditional division between Italy and Austria. From east to west, these three peaks are such titles: Little Peak (Cima Piccola, 2857 meters), large peak (Cima Grande, 2999 meters) and West Peak (Cima Ovest, 2973 meters).
There are many roads and hiking trails that lead to the peaks. If you move to the heights on foot, be sure to run into a whole fields of yellow alpine poppies.
The first conquest of climbers these peaks occurred in the XIX-th century.
