Nokia bought Symbian

The Finnish phone giant in a press release reported that Nokia buys rest of the company Symbian, because before that Nokia has had a part of the company's shares.

Nokia uses the Symbian platform for many many years, and S60 - the world's most popular platform for smartphones, designed as on Symbian. But the fun is just beginning: instead of using all the intellectual achievements of Symbian for their own purposes, Nokia transfers of intellectual property at the disposal of the non-profit Foundation Symbian Foundation. The members of the fund are such companies as Motorola, SonyEricsson, NTT DoCoMo, Vodafone, LG, Samsung.
