Seagate released a hard drive capacity of 1, 5 TB





Seagate claims that she was able to release the first in the history of the industry large hard disks: 1, 5 terabytes for desktop and at 0, 5 terabyte laptop. Achieving this is possible thanks to the use of perpendicular magnetic recording.

Barracuda 7200.11 is the 3, 5-inch drive designed for a desktop computer. It uses a 32 MB cache and a SATA interface along with Native Command Queuing (NCQ). Momentus 5400.6 and Momentus 7200.4 are designed for laptops. They both SATA, but the first cache - 8 MB, while the second - 16 MB. All drives will appear in the third quarter of this year, but the price is still unknown.
