Wireless MBLOK drive on Kickstarter

Russian-Ukrainian team Kwelea, based in Canada, launched on Kickstarter кампанию to raise funds for universal wireless data store called miniature size MBLOK.





Small aluminum cube is connected via Bluetooth to mobile devices, presenting full access to stored files. Launched a special application, you can use the data - for example, view photos and videos, listen to audio files - at speeds up to 24 Mbit / s.



At the initial stage claimed compatible with Android and iOS, plans to eventually integrate with BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Kindle, Smart Pebble clock and other devices. FTP support will allow to access files and other devices.


Storage capacity - 128 or 256 Gb. There is a built-in USB-connector for charging and use the drive as a regular USB drive.
Unlike existing wireless discs (like Kingston Wi-Drive or Seagate Satellite ), equip modules Wi-Fi, MBLOK team has focused on long battery life - to save energy using Bluetooth 4.0, and for fast data transfer - Bluetooth 3.0 + HS. 550 mAh battery should last up to 300 hours of standby time.


MBLOK provides 128-bit data encryption, planned integration with cloud storage Google Drive, DropBox, OneDrive.
