Alien landscape. Lunar, Martian. We often recite these epithets to describe a particular landscape. Usually it is a synonym of lifelessness, emptiness. And just walking along the surface of the plateau of Roraima aka Lost World, which is the intersection of Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil, we can confidently say, unearthly landscape, alien, alien.
