I love to grow something for myself, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

Beautiful garden and garden It can be a great hobby for a city dweller. Clean air, a rich selection of seed plantings, fresh vegetables and fruits grown on their own. In addition, such products will always be the most useful, because you do not need to add herbicides and other chemicals to them.

Peels is another thing when gardening is almost the only source of income. And now we are not talking about endless hectares of fields, but about an ordinary garden or a small garden. And to cultivate the land will be a little tentacle grandmother, who has yet to somehow sell their products in a big and soulless city. It's the same job, but how relative it is!

There are people who have long chosen their way of life. It is about going forward without turning back. Such domestic selfishness. I don't care about other people's problems, as long as it's better for me. No other way.

Such people can safely go to a restaurant with friends and leave a good tip to the waiter. Why? Because this action will distinguish them from others. That is, it will bring, albeit not material, but social benefits.

In the evening, a person with such a moral compass will go home and see an old woman on the side of the road selling apples or other fruits. Obviously, everything is collected by her hands, labor is put into each berry. And the price is low even by the most scrupulous calculations. And what would such a man do? Of course, it will require a bigger discount.

Peels Why is this happening? First of all, of course, because of a rather strong moral decline. People stopped helping each other just like that. Responsiveness and kindness of heart turned from virtue into signs of weakness. And everyone suspects the other in some dark things. What kind of grandmothers can be selling their simple bags? What if they're all spies?

Does it make sense to work in the country? Of course, fiddling in the country, when it is only for your pleasure, you can and even need. This is a great hobby that gives us some insight into the world around us. Flowers will decorate the lawn perfectly. Greens and vegetables will go to the salad, and the fruits make wonderful juices and compotes. For a small family, it should be enough.

But growing potatoes, corn or other vegetables for yourself and for sale is another matter. This is no longer an interesting pastime, but natural hard work. Which also doesn't pay off. Some may reasonably note that vegetables, especially seasonal ones, have risen in price. And that, we won't even argue, actually.

But by cultivating endless beds, we lose a very valuable resource: time. And the younger a person is, the more valuable this resource is for him. A grandmother or mother who remembers youth can get young people to participate in the field. But at this time, she could do something much more useful. Learning, making social acquaintances that will be very useful in the future, playing sports, falling in love - any of these things will be more useful than digging root crops.

It often happens that a hobby to which the head of the family is addicted, in the future becomes a duty for everyone else. That's not right. Another thing is if an elderly grandmother calls children and grandchildren to help with the garden. Wise people do a little tricky in this case. They do not refuse the offer, but do not run with all their feet, dropping rakes and shovels.

Wise people agree with the locals to help them with their work for a small reward. Things get along much faster together. You can spend some time with your grandmother. She lives alone and hardly uses a tenth of the crop. But working in the garden and garden can be a great reason to get together and spend some time together. Here we go.

Residents of large cities, who really wanted to pacify their passion for growing at least some plants, in most cases got homemade vases. They took care of them, hunted in specialized stores, trying to get their hands on rare species. Or caring for flowers on pitiful scraps of land under their own windows. Clearing garbage from neighbors and "gifts" from dogs running by.

Microgreens are now in fashion. A huge number of people just went crazy when they learned that you can sprout various grains directly on special mats that cost a penny. All you have to do is water it, put it under the lamp and wait a couple of days. The sprouts can be eaten, sold, distributed to relatives.

In principle, this is also a good way of spending time. There is nothing physically difficult to do. Just spend a few minutes a day watering the future crop. The only drawback is the thirst of some microfarmers for profit. This is when they put the shelving with greenery in their own apartment. They are sprayed with chemicals for accelerated growth. Very bad for your health, do not do that under any circumstances.

We can conclude that such agriculture, like any other work, is useful only in moderation. It can indeed bear fruit, but do not forget about the disadvantages, in the form of a possible loss of time, energy, health. This type of activity is available to everyone, but it is most often necessary to engage in it when there are no other alternatives.

So if you have an older family member who needs help with the ennobling of the suburban area, do not be lazy to respond to the request of an elderly person. But do it wisely. Don't waste your time and energy. The choice of what to do is up to you!
