Easter basket from dough Ingredients
- 450g flour
- 270g water
- 2 chicken eggs
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Preparation
- Take a deep bowl, pour slightly heated water there and dissolve sugar and salt in it.
- Add one egg, vegetable oil and flour mixed with yeast.
- Mix the dough. Mix it until it is easy to stick off the walls of the bowl.
- Cover the dough with food film or towel and put in a warm place. Let it increase 3-4 times. It can take 30 to 40 minutes.
- Sprinkle the working surface with flour, lay out the finished dough on it and form a sausage from it. Divide the dough into four parts. Two set aside, and of the remaining two roll a rectangular layer about 5 mm thick. Cut the dough into strips 1 cm wide.
- Take a small heat-resistant bowl - it will be our shape. Cover it with foil. Put the finished strips on the entire surface of the bowl, as shown in the picture.
- Take half the remaining test. Roll it into a layer of the same thickness and cut it into strips in the same way. Weave horizontally the resulting strips into those already laid out on the bowl. Alternately pass them over and under vertical stripes. In the place where the vertical stripes cross, a thick layer of dough is formed. Press it with a glass to form the bottom of the basket.
- Cut the excess dough.
- Set the oven to warm to 180 degrees.
- Cover the Easter basket with a towel and let it go for 15 minutes. Slightly beat the egg and use a brush to lubricate the entire surface of the basket.
- Put the basket in the oven and bake until ready. It'll take about 25 minutes.
- Get it ready. potTake it off the bowl with the foil and let it cool.
- Now you need to form a handle, upper rim and the bottom of the basket. Wrap the bowl again with foil. Roll the remaining dough into the layer, cut it into nine strips. Weave three pigtails. Put them out as shown in the picture.
- Bake like a basket. Don't forget to smear the egg!
- When all the parts of the basket are cooled, fasten them together with toothpicks. Attach the pigtail bottom and the top rim handle to the base.
- Easter basket with your own hands Done! If desired, decorate the basket with ribbons, flowers, and put a small cake inside or spread out the dyes.
