How to make a valentine
  1. First of all, take a sheet of dense paper and draw a heart pattern on it for patterning. Next, choose 2 types of fabric that you will use to sew hearts (1 color and 1 monochrome). Cut the paper template and translate it to the fabric (on each piece of fabric draw 2 parts of the heart). Then cut the hearts from the monotonous fabric, making allowances of 1.5 cm. From the colored tissue of the heart, cut strictly along the contour.

  2. Now it is necessary to combine colored and monochromatic details with pins and carefully sweep. After making sure that the seam is fairly smooth, proceed to stitching the details. Step back from the edge of the colored part half a centimeter and string the part on the sewing machine.

  3. The next stage is the decoration of blanks. For decoration you can use anything you want: old beads, ribbons, lace and other elements of decor. Just trust your imagination and go ahead!

  4. Having sewn the decor on the outside of each of the halves of the future heart, turn one of the blanks inside out and pin down the middle of the upper part of the heart loop. Then connect the two blanks, attaching the back side to each other and pasting their upper parts, retreating half a centimeter from the edges of the blanks. Leave a small padding gap at the bottom.

  5. You can fill the heart with a syntepon or finely sliced pieces of unnecessary soft tissue (by the way, if old capron tights were littered in the house - they are also great for this business). Tightly stuffed hearts line the typewriter in a circle. Then fix the seam and remove the extra threads.

  6. At the final stage, make small incisions around the edges of the heart and swing them with your fingers to create an antique effect. That's all. Just 10 minutes and the wonderful vintage hearts are ready!
