A gypsy woman froze jam to feed her family on Christmas Eve with the tastiest cakes, like McDonald’s.

Today we will tell how the wonderful hostess of gypsy Galina from our favorite YouTube channel "Galina Kitchen" prepares cakes with jam from custard dough. For them to turn out like the ones we buy at McDonald's, you need to know a little trick. More in our article.

Jam pie Ingredients
  • 300-350g apricot jam
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 300g flour
  • 180 ml of boiling water
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • vegetable-oil

Preparation
  1. The first thing to do is freeze the jam. The fact is that if you immediately put liquid jam in the dough, then the cake will be difficult to make. And frozen jam thaws when frying, and the taste of the finished dish will not affect it.

Prepare disposable bags and put 4 tablespoons of jam in each. Wrap the package with a roll and send it to the freezer for 20-30 minutes.

  2. Cook the flour in a bowl, vegetable oil and salt. Dilute salt in 180 milliliters of boiling water.
  3. Pour the water and immediately start stirring with a spoon. Add the butter and mixes a soft plastic dough.

  4. Form a ball of dough and let it stand for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Heat in a pan about 200 ml of oil.
  6. Roll the dough into a sheet 2-3 mm thick.
  7. Cut the sheet into strips wide in your palm.

  8. Take out the jam from the freezer and divide each sausage into 4 parts.

  9. Put 3 pieces of frozen jam on each strip of dough.

  10. Blind the edges of the dough and cut the resulting pigtail into pieces.

  11. Roast cakes in hot vegetable oil on both sides until they are roasted (about 40-60 seconds).

  12. Serve the cakes on the table, previously laid out on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil. More details about the recipe can be found at the link.
  13. Bon appetit!
