With citric acid we encounter almost daily. Some find mention of it on the labels of medicines and food, others meet familiar bags on the shelves with spices, others simply do not imagine cleaning and taking care of themselves without this white powder. But for proper use, you need to know how to dilute citric acid. Optimal proportions of dilution and unusual ways of using citric acid you will find in our article.



In most vegetable preparations, table cider vinegar is used, which is a good preservative, but, unfortunately, not everyone can benefit. Replace acetic acid can tomatoes, red currant juice, apples and, of course, citric acid.



If you dilute a tablespoon of dry citric acid in 2 tablespoons of water, you get a substitute for 70% acetic essence. To replace 9% vinegar you will need a teaspoon of powder and 14 tablespoons of water. An important reminder: when you are going to clean anything with citric acid, be sure to wear rubber gloves to protect the skin of your hands.

The heroine of our article is able to save clothes that molted during washing. Connect one tablespoon of citric acid, potato starch and soap chips. Then add 1 teaspoon of salt and a small amount of water, so that the result is gruel. Apply the resulting product directly to the stains and leave to act for 12 hours. Then wash your clothes.

Only 0.3-0.4 grams of citric acid per liter will be enough to soften the water with which you water domestic plants. A solution of citric acid will also get rid of mold on the ground and disinfect pots.

Citric acid helps to maintain an attractive appearance of dishes, protects pastries from molding, replaces baking powder, is used for marinating vegetables, plays the role of a preservative, does not allow to saccharize with jam.



Diluted acid from a pack can be replaced with lemon juice. Especially if the dish is subjected to heat treatment. With strong heat from the juice will still evaporate useful substances. The taste of such a replacement will not affect, but the smell of lemon, unfortunately, will not.
