One day, a friend told George that Shulzhenko regularly gives concerts. They say, why suffer when you can go to her live performance. Out of joy, the man began to wait for the opening of the cash register. And then I bought a lucky ticket in the front row. Before the concert Epifanov literally shook from the upcoming fateful meeting.
However, they went their separate ways because the war began. George went to the front, becoming a war correspondent and cameraman. The brave man was not afraid of bullets, explaining that love would save him. “I love such an amazing woman. Our love is stronger than any armor, said Epifanov.
In 1945, Claudia Shulzhenko received another message, written painfully familiar handwriting. "G.E." was seen at the end. For the artist, this postcard was a breath of fresh air: it means that he is alive and remembers her.
George himself seemed to feel that his letters are valuable, they are waiting. The man began sending telegrams from all over the country, wherever he was. He also expanded the list of holidays, sending news on literally any occasion.

Turns in the life of Shulzhenko became more and more steep. Relations with her husband Vladimir Coralli gradually deteriorated. To look beautiful and shine on stage, the singer worked hard on herself. All this led to the emotional stagnation of the woman.
Friends tried to help her. To prevent more serious consequences, in 1956 they found the address of the mysterious admirer. It is difficult to imagine how timid Georgy Epifanov felt before the first personal meeting. But for him and for Claudius, it became fatal.

At that time, Shulzhenko's marriage was cracking at the seams. As a girl, she fell in love with Epifanov, and he reciprocated her. The only thing that could get in their way was the age difference. The singer was 50 and the cameraman was 38. Of course, this is no surprise to anyone. But in those days, it was the main topic of gossip.
Together until the end, however, it did not break the lovers. They lived in an actual marriage for 9 happy years. And then Claudia began to twist herself, to jealous Georges (as she called George), to arrange scenes. She is almost 60 years old and still young and passionate.
Shulzhenko suffered herself and Epifanov suffered the same. The couple realized that they could not continue to live like this, and separated. George spent more than 10 years alone again. He still loved Claudius, kept her portrait at home and enjoyed her singing.
