Competent summer residents in spring treat currant bushes with ordinary soda, I take an example from them.

Everything is finally green and smelly. And summer residents are already working like bees and growing crops. What can be more delicious than homemade crispy cucumbers, tomatoes and berries? Speaking of berries. To protect plantings from pests, you do not need to stuff the soil with pesticides. Today we will tell you how the treatment of currants with soda affects the growth of fruit bushes.

To currant bushes were thick and fertile, you need to prevent the appearance of insects on the leaves and fruits. The best way to do this is soda. It is safe for humans and plants. In addition, soda helps to reduce the acidity of the soil, eliminates pests and, most importantly, helps to absorb nutrients from the soil.

To get rid of pests, you need to spray the branches and buds of currant bushes. And if you water the soil with soda solution, it will increase yield and destroy weeds near the bushes. With soda, you can overdo it, and this will harm the currants, since soda displaces calcium and potassium from the soil. If soda is too much, the currants will stop growing and bearing fruit. Therefore, it is necessary to adhere to the correct dosage.

The solution should be warm, since in cold water soda is poorly dissolved, and in hot it turns out too alkaline. The solution should be prepared in non-metallic dishes. It is necessary to use soda solution for processing currants within three hours after cooking, after which it loses its useful properties.

How to prepare soda solution In a pure non-metallic container, dilute the powder in the ratio of 2 tbsp. l. per 1 liter of water. Both baking and calcified soda will do. If you add sunflower oil and household soap to the solution, you will get a good remedy for fungus. Next, you need to pour the liquid into the spray gun and spray the trunk, young leaves and branches of the currant bush well.

For one currant bush, 2 tbsp. l of soda, diluted in 5 liters of warm water is enough. To at the same time feed the roots of the bushes, you can add live yeast to the soda solution. Despite the fact that soda is safe for humans, it is better to work in rubber gloves. After processing the currants thoroughly wash your hands and face with soap and rinse your mouth.

Store soda solution for further watering is pointless, since it will not bring any benefit to currants. All containers that were used for spraying currants, wash well and rinse, leave the container to dry open in the fresh air. And what do you feed your beds to have a good harvest?
