What to do quickly from an old handkerchief
Needlework is an excellent occupation that not only calms and relieves stressful situations, but also allows you to acquire interesting crafts. It would seem that the material for the work is useless, but as a result we get the right thing. It's not a miracle! And today we're going to tell you hood from an old handkerchief according to the precepts of Olga Papsueva. It turns out an elegant piece of clothing that fits almost any outfit.
This is a curious idea I looked at a master and was surprised how interesting and simple it is. But it is simple for the master, but how will I succeed? I don’t know, but it’s worth a try, says the blogger.
The woman notes that she saw a similar hood sewn from knitted fabric. Olga herself decided to build an elegant hood from an ordinary old square scarf with a side of 1 meter.
First of all, fold the handkerchief in half. Face inside. Then you need to fold in half again to get a square again, but with a side of 50 centimeters. It should make 4 layers of tissue.
Now we have to draw a semi-oval. It is most convenient to make markings using chalk, observing the distances indicated in the picture. It should also be noted that from the angle of the fabric to the marking should be about 10 cm.
Then you need to cut the outline and unfold the fabric. You'll get two connected semicircles. You need to fold them across to get a large oval in 2 layers.
Now you need to sew both layers along the edge almost to the end on both sides. Why almost? Because there have to be two holes on both sides. They will need to connect the front side with the front and stitch on the back side.
There’s a little hole left, through which I’ll turn this whole structure “on my face.” After that, only the hole will remain. Then we perfectly align and you can try it on, explains Olga Pappueva.
Here are just 24 centimeters, which we originally laid in the drawing, we still have. That's where I have to put my head. I hope we did the right thing, the woman smiles.
The hood really turned out to be successful, which Olga Papsueva herself did not fail to note when she tried on her own sewn thing. The original wardrobe item that looks elegant and keeps the neck warm.
