Cazza Construction promises to print houses out of concrete in days
A young California company Cazza Construction plans to build in Dubai with houses made of concrete for 24 hours, its unique 3D technology.
Details about the technology behind these bold promises have not been disclosed, but the Director of a start-up, 19-year-old Chris Kelsey is going to make a public statement in 2017.
"We were one of many teams that was invited to Dubai to show their technology, says Kelsey. The government brought the company from all over the world, from the Netherlands, China, Russia and the United States to see the new possibilities of automation of construction and 3D printing. Of all the groups with whom they talked, most of them are interested in our unique machines."
In Dubai there are buildings built on 3D technology, and 3D-palm, charging phones and handing out Wi-Fi. Here I want to build a laboratory for additive technologies and research drones. Moreover, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Emir of Dubai, announced earlier this year that by 2030 the city will build a quarter printed on 3D printers houses.
Cazza Construction startup from Silicon valley responded to the call of the government of Dubai. Its engineers claim that they can create houses of concrete in less than 24 hours.
The statements were not supported by evidence, may be skeptical, but Kelsey and his co-founder Fernando de Los Rios are optimistic and believe that their additive technology can have a huge impact on the construction industry. "Although the details of our technology will be disclosed only to our close partners, the possibility of our machines will allow contractors to cut labor costs by 90% and speed up the construction of houses and buildings," says Kelsey.
In addition to the planned works in Dubai, Cazza said that it has partnered with several companies that will use 3D technology to build a "faster, more efficient and environmentally cleaner." We are waiting for details at the beginning of 2017.
According to the Hong Kong developer Jiayuan International Group, 3D printing allows you to reduce the time and cost of construction by about 10%, and the number of construction waste and reduce environmental pollution. And after the standards of 3D printing in construction will be formed, costs can be reduced by 50%. published
P. S. And remember, only by changing their consumption — together we change the world! ©
