The company WiTricity announced the holding of a joint General Motors (GM) on the system testing wireless electric vehicle charging.



WiTricity technology is based on the effect of magnetic resonance imaging. It uses electromagnetic waves in safe for human health range.

It is noted that WiTricity and GM are going to test the prototypes, providing power to 7.7 and 11 kW. The system can be used for wireless charging of batteries as fully electric and hybrid vehicles.
