Heating in a private house: that it is better to choose

The heat source should provide the house this very warm, and cost at the same time inexpensive. And yet — you need to choose such that it can be installed on its own and at the same time without extra effort and extra work. This, of course, ideal. We understand immediately that the heating in a private house is different from that in the apartment, because it is Autonomous. That is, all settings of the heating system depends only on us.

In modern heating boilers the temperature can be adjusted to the desired level — this applies to gas and electric boilers. However, even with all the manufacturer warranties trouble to amass it is possible, for example, dramatically opening the valve with cold water. Do not recommend.

If you distribute sources of heat in value, the cheapest one that is powered from the main gas network, and the most expensive — running on electricity. The heat sources operating on wood, coal, gas or diesel or are between them according to increasing financial costs, changing places depending on the prices in a particular region. Although they say that the power industry in the near future may go to renewable energy sources that will reduce the cost of electricity for consumers. So it all depends on what resources you have now and how far are willing to look to the future.

But the choice of the source of thermal energy will discuss below, and now proceed to the choice of the heating system.

So, what better to buy? For us the best choice as a heating system the combination of aluminum radiators and warm water floor. Warm floors are more economical and more efficiently distribute the heat. It is not necessary to heat the entire room, leaving cold air from the bottom, as is the case with batteries. The heat from the floor will not go through the roof, and you will be able to provide yourself some cost savings.

Pipe for floor we took from the sewed polyethylene. They are flexible, easy to fit, and you can completely cover the desired space without the risk of damaging the material. When laying polyethylene pipes do not go overboard with links — it is better to cut the required piece of pipe, measuring it in advance.

As you can see here you may need a project that you would be able to draw themselves, outlining the number of cuts that you want to stack. About corrugated stainless steel pipe will not tell — it will cost more, as well as its styling, even if you take the installation tool rental.

What are the advantages of polyethylene pipes? They are inexpensive, not clogged with scale, have low thermal conductivity (ie, do not accumulate condensate), are light, fairly durable, easy to install and environmentally safe. So our choice fell on them.

Radiators are also very much needed. They quickly heat a room, form a heat barrier under the window opening to prevent drafts. But aluminum radiators and still have a fairly low cost, with maximum heat transfer. To install suitable polypropylene tubes are easy to install.

Better to take the reinforced version of the pipes, because they are more durable, and you will have less risk that the pipe sooner or later will burst, flooding your home when you are not there. Let me remind you that in order to avoid excessive expansion of the pipes they shall be provided with compensators — that is, curves.

What diameter to choose for tubing? It can be from 25 to 40 mm in external cross section, depending on circulation (natural or forced).

And finally, the choice of heat source. If you live in a region where there is natural gas — buy condensing boiler with a storage water heater for hot water. He will consistently maintain the level of heat, and in the end, this will entail fewer costs. If the gas in your area roads, select the boiler operating on solid fuel (wood, coal) with accumulator tank. A boiler will produce less kindling and stabilizes the operation of the boiler.

The next option is the heat pump.

If your region is consistently warm in the winter (+5 – +8C), use "air-water". The equipment installation will cost about 50 thousand rubles, and the cost of heating does not exceed 1500-2000 Euro per 1 floor area 80 sq. m.

If there are ground water or pond which does not freeze in winter — it is best to choose the option of "water-water". But then the installation costs will be 10 times more, so this decision solely on the prospect due to the large payback period. A geothermal pump is more expensive, however, it will last 50 years and is little dependent on external conditions. In General, you decide. At present, all but one of the following articles I will tell about electric heating and, of course, about the lighting of individual houses. published
