Palace Dulber

Dulber Palace is amazing and attracts attention at first sight.

The name itself to the ears of Europeans it sounds a mystery. 3амысел architect sharply to distinguish the building from the surrounding area, perfectly brought to life.

The Palace was built in 1895-1897 for the Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevich Romanov by the Yalta architect N. P.Krasnova.

The white building with silver cupolas, cogged walls, arched Windows, blue ornaments, colorful mosaics seems like a beautiful vision from the tales of the East.

Translated the name of the Palace from Arabic as "beautiful", "magnificent." Built in the romantic Moorish style.

In the Palace more than 100 rooms and premises. By linking facades of buildings of various architectural details and ornaments of his elongated form has acquired plasticity and perfection, and facades — a unique personality.



Much attention was given to decoration: the design of the entrances, window openings, balconies, decorated door panels. When the finishing and decorative works, the author strictly followed Saracenic style of Egypt and Syria. The stone niche has kept the locket with the historical inscription "1897, Oct. Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevich, Grand Duchess Nikolaevna Melitz and their children Grand Duchess Marina Petrovna, Nadezhda Petrovna, Grand Duke Roman Petrovich was present at the consecration of the Palace Dulber".



Above the main entrance of the Palace carved in Arabic script: "may Allah bless included here." With these words, "Dulber" welcomes its guests for over 100 years.

Through the gates of the Palace were thousands of visitors of sanatorium "Dulber", they are always open to numerous tourists, for whom the "Dulber" is one of the architectural jewels of the Big Yalta.



Around the Palace a Park, under Dulber – refined and rich. This Park can be considered a Botanical garden – so many rare plants cultivated in his land. Roses and water lilies, fountains and artificial ponds – it is difficult to imagine a place more pleasant for walking. Hands of several generations of gardeners and architects of the Park were decorated with small architectural forms: sculptures, pergolas, fountains, artificial ponds with goldfish and flowering lilies.
