Danish architectural Studio "Cebra" announced the project of building the world's largest indoor ski complex. Being a Northern country, Denmark doesn't have the mountain hills. The architects proposed to create a six-pointed "snowflake" of three bridges, crossed at equal angles, in the town of Randers.
Project indoor ski complex "Skidome Denmark", designed for 3 thousand visitors. In addition to the tourism functions, the complex is also designed to transport infrastructure development in the city of Randers. Being a bunch of bridges spanning the river in three directions, it connects several areas of the city.
Located in the North country, the complex, unlike most indoor ski slopes without Windows, offers a panoramic facades, revealing exceptional views of the city, river and surrounding valley.
Each slope is equipped with individual cable car lift and the center of the design will operate elevators and escalators to move from one level to another.
Having several slopes of different steepness, the complex will offer 4 indoor descent and 2 tracks under the open sky, with a total length of 3 kilometers. In addition to ski slopes, the complex offers a freestyle track for skateboarding and BMX (Bicycle motocross).
In addition to sports and transportation facilities, the complex also will house a hotel, restaurant, shopping area, and Park area on the roof of the lower level.
