Amazing sunken forest, Kazakhstan

In the gorge of the mountain chain Alatau is the pearl of Kazakhstan lake Kaindy. This beautiful lake is not very popular among tourists. Probably because it is near Kolsai lakes are more popular and divert all the attention of all visitors to these places.

There is a lake near the village of Saty in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. Kazakh name of the lake translates to "abounding with birches" and, indeed, close to the green birch grove.

In 1910, there was an earthquake. The landslide which occurred as a result of this, blocked the river, and the valley was filled with water. Earlier on the site of the lake was a dense coniferous forest, which was almost entirely flooded with water. Trees, of course, died, but the cold water of the lake hindered the development processes of decay and they seem to be conserved. Now Kaindy lake conceals an amazing underwater pine forest. The length of the lake approximately 400 m and a maximum depth of about 30 meters. The water is crystal clear, so you can clearly see the bottom.

The lake looks like on a real story: clean air, beautiful nature, the smell of pine needles and silence. So savethem to go here for a few days. Here you can stay in tents.
From the turquoise surface of the lake rise the sharp peaks of the flooded trees. They had long since lost their branches sticking out of the water like the masts of sunken ships. By the way, the locals call them the guardians and believe that they guard the lake.
