Nikon will change the market of cameras with the new gadget

Head Nikon does not preclude the company's entry into the phone market, which, in contrast to the market for digital cameras, displays a rapid growth rate.
Nikon considers their entry into the smartphone market and want to provide the product of a new kind, which will change the attitude to digital cameras, according to Blоomberg with reference to the President of Nikon, Makoto Kimura, who gave an interview in the headquarters of the Corporation in Tokyo.
The global delivery of digital small cameras in may 2013 fell by 48% compared to the same period last year, while deliveries of SLR cameras by 6 per cent.

"Over the past year sold nearly 750 million smartphones, which people took pictures. And the demand for these devices continues to increase. Our work is devoted to the cameras, but we can offer the products and in this new region", — said Kimura.
"We want to make a product that can change the attitude to the cameras. This is the product for the consumer market, but it is not the camera," adds the President of Nikon. He declined to specify whether we are talking about the smartphone.
