In Japan the festival of unusual sculptures made of hay

Festival of straw art (Straw Art Festival) is one of the most unusual events that takes place every year in the villages of Japan. Farming communities in the prefectures of Kagawa Prefecture and Niigata Prefecture organize an interesting exhibition of huge sculptures made of straw that are left on the fields after harvest.
Probably one of the most famous of sculpture in the world was a huge muskrat, which was established some years ago in the Dutch city Niеuwerkerk. But the Japanese can boast of a zoo: monkeys, elephants, turtles and even sharks you'll see at the festival.

This year among the most memorable sculptures you need to mention the shark with open mouth, jaw which looked terrifying, and cute wallabies, in a bag which could sit who came to the feast of the children. It should be noted that even the terrible predators in straw form looked pretty sweet. Moreover, if you wish, you can climb on the ship and tank, the sculptures which were also made by local craftsmen.

Fortunately, the sculptures are made firmly and securely on the same model as thatched roofs on the cottages. The basis of the wooden frame, and on top it is covered with dried stems. Because of this, the audience could feel safe, not spoiling and not broke is a miracle of design.

We remind you that recently a Chinese artist has created the labyrinth of 3144 bicycles.
