Unusual railings and facades that have become city landmarks
Facades, fences, fence, buildings traditionally used in order to separate private and public space in the city. However, sometimes they are so masterpiece that becomes urban landmark.
"Heaven is a place on Earth" (or "Silent Movie")
Under the title Studio apartment Design Studio Regina Dahmen-Ingenhoven has implemented the project of fencing of the building of the Swarovski in the Austrian city of Wattens. The work is similar to the fantastic "the veil", a kind of urban curtains. The fence wraps around the space in front of the main entrance to the factory.
Translucent material makes the viewer guess what was waiting for him inside, comfort is smoothly transferred from the public space inside. The smooth lines that go into the future, dopolnenie illumination, they merge together and create a wonderful spirit and hospitality.
The Community Chalkboard
Conventional wall black color extends along the pedestrian street in the heart of the American town of Charlottesville, Virginia. Exciting that it lies next to the chalk, and passers-by can write on it what you want.
The wall is a symbol of freedom of expression and unites the space between the street and the city hall, which is located nearby.
