Los Angeles is a city of cars and drivers.One architectural concept from the 2014 competition e Volо, skyscraper wants to argue with this deeply entrenched culture. Ziwei SONG's Skyvillage connects the four major districts — downtown, Chinatown, Echo Park, and temple Beaudry — sprawling geometric structure of the giant. Currently there are 27 acres of unused land around the freeways that connect the neighborhoods, leaving enough space to build the structure, which is described as " architecture of the body. "





Skyvillage wants to encourage - free lifestyle by putting all and Sundry that residents would like to have, inside the translucent giant. Acting as a floating city with space for apartments, schools, restaurants and shops, in a building designed "green zone" filtering to clean the air around freeways. The structure should facilitate residents pass through Skyvillage to another part of the city.
