Portland Architect Designs Room in Old Bus

The bus house again. They are made of houses for sale and mobile gardens. Architect Will Winkelman designed his house from an old bus. It was once a 1959 Chevrolet Viking bus. Then it was left unused for a long time, and it became bulky garbage. And now here's a little house on wheels.

Small houses are popular. We write about it regularly. If they are on wheels, you can not only live in them, but also travel. The Maine Bus was designed for a client who wants to travel with their family from time to time. He also plans to accommodate his guests on the bus, as in an extra room. As a result, he received comfortable and reliable accommodation for his guests and travels.

The bus was in poor condition (not surprisingly, it's 53) when Will took it. He had to change almost everything, except the body. Some parts he could buy, and some had to order in the workshop.

Inside, the bus was decorated as the customer saw it: “hip and Moroccan”. It turned out a kind of retro style with colorful beds, lampshades with brushes and paintings a la Morocco. The walls were full of oak boards, they also made all the necessary furniture. The floor was covered with pine boards. Designers thought about the practical side of the issue – the bus is equipped with a shower, toilet and electricity.
