And now Leap Motion has announced a new version of the SDK of its device, which, among other things, includes support for virtual reality headsets, both existing and those that will appear in the future. The matter remained for the small: how to fix the gadget on the headset so that it does not interfere with turning your head and does not fall off?

Especially for this purpose, a special mount VR Developer Mount was announced, which fixes the movement tracker directly on the front surface of the headset. Fastening will cost 20 dollars, while the gadget itself will cost you another 100. In total, for $ 120, a user can get a full-fledged system for tracking their hands in the virtual space, which was so much lacking for many virtual reality enthusiasts.

Now you don’t have to constantly hold special controllers like PlayStation Move or special gloves with hundreds of sensors – all these devices are replaced by one tiny sensor and well-written software that tracks the exact location of each of your fingers in three-dimensional space.
