The city Council of the city of Bristol adopted an unprecedented program of energy efficiency of buildings. In the next four years the staff of the special unit will have to work around all the houses in the city and offer free of charge to owners to assess the energy efficiency of their property and the list of measures on its improvement.

If the homeowner is unable to pay the proposed measures, the city will assume the payment works like a minimum insulation of walls and ceilings, and installing energy efficient double glazing. Will also be offered financial assistance in the replacement of obsolete boilers with modern, and using other energy-saving technologies.





Bristol announced for 2015 "Green capital" of Europe, hopes to become the most eco-sustainable city in the UK. At the beginning of 2014 on the eco-activities in the framework of the Bristol Green Deal was allocated 95 million pounds.
