Tetra Pak will release the box from sugar cane Bashny.Net

In 2015 the market will be a new product — "the Tetra Rex". This box is made of a film of low density polyethylene and high density polyethylene bio-based.



As it became known, the main material for production of biodegradable boxes was sugar cane. The composition also includes cardboard, which has been certified by the Forest stewardship Council.

"Together with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders we strive to use 100% renewable sources for production of packaging. Note that the new capacity was developed in cooperation with the company "Braskem" — one of the leading manufacturers of biopolymers.
