Unexpected spots can pretty much spoil any things and mood. Stop, don’t rush to buy a new one: we know how to get rid of even the most stubborn spots!
Essential items
The main tools of the hostess, of course, washing powder and stain remover, and if you are dealing with white things – can help and bleach. The main rule: the stain remover should be soft and should not destroy tissue fibers or discolor it. A chlorine-containing stain remover, although it will remove stains, can easily spoil the thing. But a new generation of stains based on active oxygen, for example, Vanish Oxi Action, can be used even for delicate fabrics such as silk or chiffon. If the spots are fresh and not very bright - you can try to soak the thing in cold water, and then wash, pouring a little more washing powder. With persistent, old stains will help to cope with stains: they can be added when washing as a “amplifier” of washing powder or pre-treat the stains before washing the spray. The latter method is especially recommended for ingrained, greasy and large spots.
Useful advice
Always read the labels and labels of clothes carefully to choose the right washing mode. Do not rush to dry in the dryer and especially iron the thing until you make sure that all the stains have disappeared: high temperatures will fix them, and get rid of defects will be almost impossible.
If the persistent spot does not disappear even after you have used all the ways to deal with it, do not hang your nose, repeat the entire procedure of soaking, using a stain remover and washing. Some spots need to be treated two or three times to finally disappear.
1. Stains from deodorant and cosmetics
With spots perfectly copes with denatured alcohol. Moisten the cotton swab with alcohol or ammonia and wipe the stain on the clothes, then be sure to wash the whole thing. If this method does not help, we recommend using liquid Vanish Oxi Action. Apply the product directly on the stain, leave for a maximum of 10 minutes and rub. Then wash as usual by adding Vanish to your powder.
2. Spots from wine, grass, juices, fruits, berries, coffee and tea
The easiest way is to sprinkle a fresh stain with salt, leave it for 30-40 minutes, and then wash it in cold water. Spots from fruit juices are also removed with a solution of glycerol and vodka or a mixture of glycerol and egg yolk, taken in equal proportions. But this problem will help to cope with powder Vanish. Dissolve in water 1 scoop of the product and soak the thing for a maximum of 1 hour at the maximum permitted. Then just wash as usual and you will see the results right away!
3. Oily, fatty stains
If they have just been planted – first of all, you need to remove the residues of the oil (for example, soaking the fabric on both sides with napkins or sprinkling the stain with talc), then dry the stain. Sprinkle a greasy or oily spot with baby powder. If there is no powder on hand, you can replace it with corn starch or salt.
4. Spots from soups, sauces, mustard, ketchup
Spots from mustard and sauces are recommended to moisten with glycerin, and then wash in warm soapy water. You can apply a Vanish Oxi Action pretreatment spray directly onto the stain.
