Unique safe wind turbine in the shape of a plane turbine
Scientists in St. Petersburg from the company Optiflame has invented a Solution for urban wind turbines of closed type, which is safe, both for people and for animals.
As you know, modern "propeller" wind turbines are unsafe for people and for birds and bats, in addition, such wind turbines adversely affect the climate. In order not to repeat the mistakes of world producers, Russian scientists have developed a wind turbine of closed type, which resembles the shape of a plane turbine.
The design consists of 32 blades instead of 2 or 3 blades, which significantly increases the efficiency of the turbine and reduces its cost. Additionally, the casing in which the blades are enclosed, in case of destruction of the blade ensures the safety for others. And the high speed of rotation avoids harmful infrasonic vibrations.
This turbine has the lowest cost of power generation. It can be installed in a residential area, including on the roofs of city buildings. It fulfills almost all requirements: convenience, cheap cost of installation and low electricity consumption.
How to assure developers that their wind turbine is suitable for all climatic conditions and begins to work in the wind 1.8 m/s and smooth functions up to 25 m/s.
"This is the only model of the generator, which can be installed where live or work. It is unique in its safety features and at the same time more productive," says one of the developers of wind turbines a new type of Mr Kanin.
The unique design of Petrograd interested installers cellular equipment, kits for mobile drilling rigs and geological parties, as well as the administration of the Northern energodefitsity regions of Russia.
Similar projects exist in the USA, Japan, China and Germany. But as assure of the company Optiflame Solutions, apparently, they are the only one who deliberately builds it "the city", a safe living environment for wind turbines. In December 2010 they were one of the first participants of the innovation center "SKOLKOVO". This year the team Optiflame Solutions among the ten finalists of the country's largest startup competition GenerationS on the track CleanTech (clean technology).
According to Kanin, in the world today there are about 300 different projects of wind turbines, in reality, there are 10 prototypes that you can touch. Everything else is just the sketches.
Against this background, their indoor wind turbine looks very promising. And we can only wish good luck to Russian developers.
