Deserted Island Hashim

Island Hashim (means "Border Island"), which is commonly referred Gunkandzhima (meaning "Island of warships"), is one of 505 islands in the Nagasaki Prefecture and is situated at a distance of 15 km from the city of Nagasaki. From 1887 to 1974 there were coal mines. The island abounds in abandoned buildings.
