On which smartphones is better to take root E. coli

Loud statements of British scientists that there are more bacteria on the surface of the smartphone than on the drain handle in a public toilet, did not leave domestic experts indifferent.

Checking the comfort for bacteria was carried out on six popular models: smooth metal Apple iPhone 6, also metal, but with a rough surface HTC One M8, glass Sony Xperia Z3, plastic Nokia Lumia 930 and LG G3, and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a back of corrugated plastic.

Scientific research was undertaken by specialists of the scientific enterprise "Roscontrol".

The experiment took place in two stages. Initially, the above models were given to people for everyday use. Together with the temporary owners of the device visited the street, public transport, catering establishments. Subsequent study showed that pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms on the surface of all smartphones are absent.

During the second stage of the study, Roscontrol specialists specially applied E. coli to phones and studied where it best takes root. The experiment showed that E. coli felt most comfortable on the surface of the LG G3, much worse on the Apple iPhone 6, the third place was shared by the Nokia Lumia 930 and HTC One M8, and the Sony Xperia Z3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 were the safest.

All smartphones with honor withstood the experiment – the number of pathogenic microorganisms remaining on their surface was many times less than required for infection. The concentration of E. coli, even in the case of LG G3, is not statistically significant and is not dangerous. And remember, just changing our consumption – together we change the world!
