Ford surveyed 10,000 electric vehicle drivers. And this is what he found out.

Ford surveyed 10,000 electric vehicle drivers.

92% of EV drivers plan to buy another EV as their next vehicle, while hybrid owners view EVs as their next vehicle.

Unique driving experience, cost of operation and clean technology are the main reasons that have been cited as the main advantages to opting for electric vehicles.

The survey also found that there is a strong link between electric vehicle owners and renewable energy sources. 83% of electric car owners already have or are considering installing solar panels on their homes. Using home solar panels to charge electric cars helps further reduce the carbon footprint by limiting reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

About 90% of electric car owners who own a 2nd car tend to buy a car with an internal combustion engine. Classic cars on internal combustion engines are used for long trips, since the range on a single charge of an electric car is very limited.

Will increasing the range of electric vehicles convince current drivers to switch their petrol or diesel unit to an electric car for long-distance travel?

P.S. And remember, just changing our consciousness – together we change the world!
