Abakanskaya solar power plant
JSC "EuroSibEnergo" on the eve of the Day of Energy put into commercial exploitation of Siberia's largest solar power station – SES of Abakan in Abakan, the Republic of Khakassia.
The team on the official launch of the Abakanskaya solar power plant by teleconference from Moscow was given by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in the presence of the General Director of En+ Group Maxim Sokov. The ceremony of launching the station in the Abakan was attended by General Director of JSC "the EuroSibEnergo Vyacheslav Solomin, Head of the Republic of Khakassia Viktor Zimin and the representatives of the Ministry of energy of Russia.
The installed capacity of the Abakan SES – 5,2 MW, annual electricity production of 6.5 million kWh. The station is equipped with more than 20 thousand solar modules, and its area is 18 Ha.
The average annual number of Sunny days in Abakan exceeds 310 that will allow you to maximize solar potential, providing approximately 1/30 of the needs of the city's electricity through clean, renewable source of energy. To get the same amount of energy on coal-fire power plant would need to burn annually to about 3.5 thousand tons of coal that would create emissions of greenhouse gases in excess of 8 thousand tons.
Abakan SES more than 50% is built on Russian equipment and components. In the course of work on the project of JSC "EvroSibEnergo" have organized their own innovative production on the growth of multicrystalline silicon ingots (the base material for solar modules) in the city of Angarsk, Irkutsk region, as well as the manufacturing of inverters in the town of Divnogorsk of Krasnoyarsk region. The investments of JSC "EuroSibEnergo" in the project Abakan SES amounted to about 600 million.
Project Abakan SES the EuroSibEnergo was recognized as one of winners of competition of investment projects on construction of generating facilities based on renewable energy sources by the Ministry of energy of Russia in 2013, the Implementation of the project began in late 2013.
