Mercedes-Benz GLC in 2017 will be on hydrogen fuel cells

This solution was developed to ensure compatibility between pure electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.

The upcoming model will be called the GLC F-CELL and will have a fuel cell installed under the bonnet, while the hydrogen tank and battery occupy the space reserved for the fuel tank.

Thus, the interior and trunk will not be less. This solution gives many advantages to the manufacturer, as it reduces development costs, making the technology less expensive to use in the future.

A similar solution was used for internal combustion engines and are used in modular platforms.

The main advantage of this solution are more affordable versions of the cars on alternative fuels. published
