Mercedes-Benz has joined the ranks of manufacturers that produce or intend to produce cars under the electric motor. On August 16 the exhibition Monterey Car Week, the company unveiled the concept coupe Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 batteries. This car is a luxury-class with a length of almost 6 meters and futuristic appearance will go on sale in a few years.
 



 

This is the first purely electric model Mercedes-Benz. Previously, the company has been doing electric versions of some cars B-class and Smart, but now for the first time preparing to release a model that was originally designed for electric power plant.

Electric car Mercedes-Benz is presented in the form of the Vision concept Mercedes-Maybach 6. After the finalization of the project it will be produced at the Bremen plant of the company. By the way, on the same plant next year will begin to produce hybrid SUVs Mercedes-Benz GLC fuel cells and electricity. They can be fuelled with hydrogen or to charge from a wall outlet.



Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 equipped with engine capacity of 550 kW (750 HP) and batteries with a power reserve of 500 km. The car will accelerate to 100 km/h in less than four seconds. Maximum speed electronically limited to 250 km/h For Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 the company also promises to develop advanced technology for rapid charging, so in 5 minutes the batteries can be charged enough for an additional 100 kilometers of travel.





In this model, the company also introduced a special design. Such lines will be different all the future electric cars from Mercedes-Benz.

According to unofficial information, Mercedes-Benz intends to launch production of four models of electric vehicles: two sports cars and two sedans. For this vehicle line will create a separate brand, although the title has not yet chosen. A presentation of the electric vehicle will be held in September at the Paris motor show.



Say that the success of the sedan Tesla Model S has had some pressure on other brands that they don't make anything like that.
