Man rescued from the deaths of thousands of dogs on Dog Meat Festival in China Bashny.Net

This week launched a 10-day festival of dog meat in the Chinese city of Yulin. During the festival the Chinese slaughtered more than 10 thousand dogs, whose meat is eaten to celebrate the summer solstice. One of the animal protection center Marc Ching activists went to Yulin, to release the dogs locked in cages.





In total, non-profit organization Make Ching managed to free about 1,000 dogs from 6 different slaughterhouses

The opponents of the mass murder of animals collected more than 11 million signatures on a petition demanding ban the festival.





Despite the protests of activists across China, local authorities continue to Yulin annually celebrate this festival at the beginning of the summer solstice. Many supporters of the use of sobachatiny say that the meat helps dogs suffering from heat in the summer months.

Despite the fact that the festival has officially been recognized by the Government and carried out exclusively by local businesses, the police is trying to disrupt the actions of activists and volunteers.
