User DerVonDenBergen decided to make an intelligent mirror. He reasoned that the mirror is in every house, they take up a lot of space, but the functions of conventional mirrors, frankly, a little bit. Why not improve the mirror a little?

After detailed planning of a project to create intelligent mirrors I started to be realized. First appeared videokontsept, and now - and the first prototype, which works pretty well. According to the author, Reflecty smart mirror allows the user to control the smart home, plus provides the necessary information requested by the person. To track user actions mirror is equipped with a motion detector and a Leap Motion gesture recognition module. The effective working distance of the mirror - about 20 centimeters.









Features:
Widgets to the "Home screen" that displays the weather information, date / time, latest news. All that is updated in real time. A weather application that can be opened using the corresponding widget on the home screen. App shows the current weather and the forecast for several days in advance. Information about public transport routes, including the nearby stop. The news app also opens using the widget.

For two-way mirror glass - monitor, which displays all necessary information "brain" of the whole system is a mini-PC Shuttle XPC. According to the author, inexpensive solution would Rasberry Pi, but because he was already a mini-computer, referred to above, it was decided to install it.
