Surrealist paintings with real sharks

At first glance, the latest work of photographer Benjamin Von Wong (Benjamin Von Wong) looks like a series of images otfotoshoplennyh, where the model is under water with sharks. But this is the result of actual filming. Von Wong actually spent underwater photo shoot, removing a number of surreal (but totally real) portraits with marine predators.





Shooting took place in the South Pacific island nation off the coast of Fiji, where a popular scuba diving with sharks. The whole process had to fit two hours from 11 to 13, while the sharks are active and rays of light streaming through the water.

Within three days, the participants had a shooting 6 hours of patient waiting underwater with the model, which has acted as a champion in freediving Amber Burke. Team still stuck in a cave to not scare off the movements of sharks, and waited for predators float on the ideal trajectory.

"As soon as one of them swam to a cave deep enough, we decided it was a good chance to shoot. Amber took a deep breath, tore off the mask and posed as long as she could, "- says the photographer.
