The most effective decisions are made intuitively

When life puts a man to have to take a really hard decision, many of us can spend hours agonizing to think about how the right thing to do. The experimental results of Portuguese scientists say that perhaps this is not the best way. Much more effective than just trusting intuition and make a decision quickly at the same time saving time and mental strength.

The researchers set up an experiment on rats. They found that the rats received equally effective and correct decisions, and when the "hesitant" and when solved quickly. However, the most effective solutions rats received almost instantly - it took about 300 milliseconds.

The head of the study, Dr. Maini said that similar experiments on mice help to better understand the nature of human intuition and find out what's going on in the brain at the moment of intuitive decision-making.
