Sea lions have a sense of rhythm

It turns out, people and parrots - are not the only species with a sense of rhythm. The same ability to have the sea lions. Or, at least, a California sea lion named Ronan, who lives in the University of California in Santa Cruz.

Now Ronan three years, it is still a young lady. The researchers specifically trained to perceive repeated sonic booms and make certain rhythmic movements in accordance with them. When a joke, they included a lion more complex music, it was found that Ronan was still able to find and identify the basic rhythm without additional training.

Previously it was thought that the ability to capture the musical rhythm in animals is directly related to the ability to reproduce the human voice. Sea lions do not know how exactly, so it's possible that the rhythmic ability is much more common in the animal kingdom than previously thought.
