Scientists have managed to connect the brains of two people using a computer

Telepathy is already real - though, it did not do without a computer

You’ll never be able to read or control other people’s thoughts, but one day, with a computer interface, you’ll be able to control other people’s behavior and perhaps even communicate through thoughts. The technology demonstrated in the video is the first step in this direction.

Two researchers from Washington University in St. Louis, Rajesh Rao and Andrea Stokko, used such an interface, which allowed Rao to direct Stokko’s actions for a while.

Previously, this technology was used in rats, and later it was possible to establish a connection between the brains of rats and humans. There is no need to take drugs or implant brain implants. An electroencephalograph was connected to Roa's head, which monitors the electrical activity of the brain through the skull, in other words, a signal was sent to a computer, then sent to Stokko, who was wearing a transcranial magnetic stimulation device that sent a powerful but harmless magnetic signal through the skull to the motor center in the brain. As a result of the interaction, Stokko's fingers twitched.

This is just a small step, but also a great proof of the concept: one person can use a computer to control the movements of another, and this is not fiction, but reality. The next step should be bilateral cooperation. The technology, in the end, will work almost imperceptibly – to put on the head of complex bulky devices will be absolutely unnecessary. So don't worry: you don't have to protect yourself with a foil cap. Bye.
