In 1984 entomologist Justin Schmidt wanted to know at what the most painful insect bite. Or because he was incredibly brave or very stupid, or a bit of a masochist, Schmidt allowed beetles 150 different kinds of its sting, and then distributed them bites on a scale of 0 to 4.
Schmidt, of course, experienced bees. Whenever one of these girls (sting can only females) bites you, it introduces into your body peptides and enzymes that destroy your cells and include in the body of a red alarm, after which the body diverges histamine, which slows down blood flow and protects cells to derive from venom organism. This bite was rated 2 on a scale of 0 to Schmidt, and you probably would not want to get a bite of, say, your testicles.
However, this is what happened to a graduate student at Cornell University Michael Smith. Smith specializes in the study of bees, and after such a bite, he decided to find out where in the bee sting is the hardest, and the experiments he conducted as Schmidt, on itself.
For 38 days, Smith allowed pchёlym bruise themselves in 25 different places, three times each. Its sting in places such as the wrist, heel, nipples and ass. Before and after each test session, Smith spent the bites on the forearm. In total, he suffered 190 bee stings and created a rating for each part of the body.
In what turned out to be the most painful place of a bee sting? According to Smith, the third place got a penis, earned 7, 3 points. Second place went to the upper lip, earned 8, 7, and probably after that it was difficult to speak. Cup champion got his nose with a mad grade 9, 0. Smith described the pain as "electric and throbbing," arguing that the poison caused the whole body to shake and caused a terrible bout of sneezing. What should you do if you bee sits on the nose? Keep calm, hold your breath and hope that it will fly away, or you are waiting for a terrible pain.
