This idea occurred to the founders places «Providence Mount St. Vincent » in Seattle, Washington, where under one roof combined kindergarten and nursing home - so be it pleasant and helpful to all.
In children, it turns out a lot of loving grandparents, there is tremendous opportunity to communicate with the older generation, to learn from them different things, get a lot of attention from adults, whereas older people communication with children brings a lot of fun as well as an incentive not to lose heart and rejoice life.
In this house lived about 400 elderly residents, and dozens of children who have become part of the program of the International Training Center.
5 days a week the kids come to visit the older generation, together with them to make music, dance, art, telling each other stories, cook dinner, and do many other exciting things.
Children receive attention sea, and the elderly residents of the center once again feel their necessity, relevance, they are happy to share their experience and love.
Coy combining experience became a central theme in the documentary film «Present Perfect» Evan Briggs, who talks about growing up and aging.
«The film allowed me to look with new eyes at how these different generations, disconnected Catcher years, become one. I realized how much we all lose, leaving these people to while away their days in solitude. Before children enter the room, the old look half dead, a pitiful sight.
