«Semuc Champey»: waterfalls in Guatemala

In the jungle department of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, about 11 km south of the city Languin, hidden from the eyes of the people is amazing wonder of nature. «Semuc Champey», in the language of the Maya Q'eqchi-means "holy water" - a natural limestone bridge width of 300 meters, at which the river passes Cahabon. At the top of the bridge is a series of stepped pools filled with the waters of the river and many of them are connected to each other by small waterfalls. The water here is amazing turquoise color.
