Sunset on Mars - how does it look?

NASA has recently posted a video with a sunset on Mars, which does not look like a sunset in the world. And the sun is less, and the color of the sky the other - everything is strange. There are two versions of this video - in Vine (unfortunately insert video here does not work, the parser will not), and on YouTube - this video can be seen in the sequel.

On Earth, the sky is blue because short-wave part of the visible spectrum (violet-blue) is scattered in the atmosphere. At sunset, sunlight passes through a layer of air is thicker than during the day, and begin to dissipate and longer wavelengths, including red light.

Mars happens something like that, but in the afternoon the sky of Mars as seen from the surface of the planet, reddish. In this case, a beam of light at sunset have to go through a thicker layer of the atmosphere , than when the Sun at its zenith. Therefore, the red filtered almost completely, but the light and the other of the spectrum (blue, blue) is scattered and we see a blue halo around setting sun on Mars.

Dust on Mars - a common occurrence, at the same time as the Mars gravity is lower than that of the Earth, the dust rises above and stays there for a longer period than on our planet

Note that the pictures of sunset, of which NASA made a video obtained rover Opportunity.
